Snowmobile Poker Ride; A fun event that is organized by the Tweedsmuir Recreation Society out of Wistaria Hall.
Southside Winter Games at Takysie Lake; Snow shoe Volleyball, Fishing Derby, Cross County Ski Races, Snowman Building Contest and Hockey Scrimmages are amongst the fun at this annual event. Call 694-3404 or 694-3577 for more information.

July 1st Weekend; at Wistaria Hall. Potluck lunch, fun games for kids, community softball games for all ages, pancake breakfast.
Bluegrass/ Country Jamboree; the third weekend in July, three-day event with rough camping, full concession and bands from all over BC.

Annual Ootsa Lake Fishing Derby; September: Labour Day Weekend, 3-days without sleep for the biggest fish in Ootsa Lake. $ 25.00 entry - Weigh-in registration at Jim VanTine’s meat house in Ootsa Lake.
Rio Tinto Alcan BBQ; A free barbecue for locals and visitors takes place at the Alcan Spillway campground. Local community groups will serve steaks, hamburgers, salad, desserts and beverages. Come and enjoy an evening of community spirit.
